On Friday, May 20th, students age 2-12 will run laps to raise money for the needy children in the Philippines. Students at this early stage, some of them pre-schoolers, are made aware about how other people in other countries live, the importance of giving to those less fortunate and learn at an early age that each of them can make a difference. Thank you to Stacey Constantian, President of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for choosing OHFH as benefiting partner of this charity event in Orange County

2014 Events
What an incredible evening of colors, glitter and disguise! The One Heart for Hope Masquerade Gala turned out to be one of our most successful fundraising events ever. The event started with cocktails and hor d' oeuvres and guests were welcomed with a musical performance of “Masquerade” from the Phantom of the Opera by talented volunteer students from the Mater Dei High School Theater Arts Production. They also performed the incredible song “Let It Go” from the movie Frozen and other popular Broadway hits. Raven Alanes (age 8) showcased her winning dance number “Single Ladies” that left us breathless, and Claudine Victoria captivated the audience with her rendition of “'I Dreamed A Dream” from Les Miserables.

330 people attended the gala and most arrived with their colorful masquerade gowns and masks, including our special guest, 2014 Winter Olympian Michael Martinez, disguised as the Phantom of the Opera. The live band “Off the Cuff” kept the guests entertained and danced the night away with their energetic stage presence. Guests were interviewed by Hollywood TV host, Bryce Christian and Steve Angeles from ABS-CBN, who covered the entire event. Over 80 donated designer items were auctioned that evening and prizes such as an Oakley Minute Machine watch, Chanel eyewear, IPad Air, Kindle Fire, Bose Sound Dock, Prada, Kate Spade, and Coach bags, hotel nights from Viceroy Hotels, Line and Omni Resorts, vacation package, etc. were given away as prizes. One of the major sponsors, LBC, also distributed giveaways to all attendees.
Hats off to all our volunteers, coordinators, event committee members, Luz Miller (event chairman), officers and board members who have worked very hard since January to make this fundraising event a huge success.

NOTE: Charities including One Heart for Hope are finding it more difficult to effectively raise money due to health concerns, regulations and mandates that make it unsafe to host in-person fundraising events like dinner galas and gatherings. We have suspended all fundraising events since 2019.  We have revised our donation strategies during the pandemic by sending donors solicitation letters for us to support our scholarship, education, emergency disaster relief, and necessities projects. We thank you for your continued support during this time of financial uncertainties.
